Mercedes-Benz opens first-of-its-kind store in KL

The Mercedes-Benz wholesale distributor said in a statement that the RM4.3mil Mercedes-Benz Cycle & Carriage Bintang TREC Autohaus, measuring 9,373 sq ft, could house seven showroom vehicles.
Unlike traditional Autohauses, it sports the latest in modern interior design and furnishing. The store, managed by 16 employees in sales, also has a private iShowroom lounge and exclusive bar and lounge as well as interactive signage.
“As we mark Mercedes-Benz’s 130! Years of Innovation, we are moving beyond just the automobile. This unique format, the first of its kind Mercedes-Benz City Store provides an entirely fresh concept,” Mercedes-Benz Malaysia vice president (sales & marketing, Mercedes-Benz cars) Mark Raine said in a statement.
Cycle & Carriage Bintang Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Wong Kin Foo said this Autohaus set itself apart in appearance with black ceiling, wood finishing, multiple-colour wallpaper and lights, which amplify the vibrancy of the brand.
“The chosen location permits such loud interpretation,” he said.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Sdn Bhd is a joint venture between Daimler AG and Cycle & Carriage Bintang, formed in January 2003.
